Ochom replaces Mugenyi as Director Operations in new police shake-up

The Inspector General of Police Martin Okoth Ochola has made changes in three Directorates of the Uganda Police Force.

According to the Police Spokesperson CP Fred Enanga, AIGP Edward Ochom has been appointed Director Operations as he replaces AIGP Asuman Mugenyi who retired recently.

“Ochom will be deputized by SCP John Nuwagiira,” he revealed.

Mugenyi whose last day in police uniform was Friday, May 29 has served in the institution for 32 years.

AIGP Andrew Sorowen has been moved from Directorate of General Duties to the Directorate of Welfare and Production as Director.

Senior Commissioner of Police (SCP) James Ochaya is the Ag Director Research, Planning and Development.

“All changes take immediate effect,” he said.
